Health in Groups

Health In Groups was a 4-year cross-national and longitudinal study led by researchers at the School of Social Sciences in the University of Dundee in Scotland. It was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and was carried out with assistance from NHS Tayside and NHS Lothian.

The study, which began in November 2011 and ended in August 2015, explored the important role that group identification (one's sense of psychological connectedness to one or more social groups) can play in our health and well-being.

This website provides information about the study's design, the researchers who ran it, and the people who took part. We hope it will be of use to members of the public, academics and students.
